Afghanistan: 125 Taliban Participate In Afghan Peace Process In Balkh

In Afghanistan’s Balkh province, 125 Taliban have joined the Afghan peace process.

A statement from the Afghan army said that 125 Taliban had agreed to surrender and join the peace process through the efforts of the district governor and tribal elders of the Charkant district in Balkh province.

Local officials say the Taliban’s involvement in the peace process will reduce violence in the district.
